July 28, 2010
The Residents, Sisters, and employees were all transported back to their youth on Wednesday, July 28th, the first day of Summer Camp at St. Mary’s Home. The day began with registration for new camp counselors, where staff members received their assignments for the day. Morning activities including finger painting, noodle art, as well as swimming and cooking lessons. Then everyone was treated to a summer camp-inspired lunch of sloppy joes and tater tots before resuming the fun. The afternoon featured water balloon volleyball and a bubble-blowing contest. It was truly a fun-filled day for all the “kids” and “counselors.” Kudos to Helen and Luz for organizing another great event!
Welcome to “Camp Wanna-be-a-kid”!!
