A full house of women gathered in the dining room on May 14th to celebrate Mother’s Day. Brunch was served by the Sisters, staff and AJJ members, as well as a group of student volunteers from DePaul University, immediately following Mass. The task was made easier by the new buffet, a gift to St. Mary’s from the Little Sisters in Louisville, which was used for the first time.
Everyone in attendance enjoyed the piano playing of Elizabeth Stubits, daughter of Resident Rita Stubits.Lucky winners of the gift baskets and other prizes being raffled off included Residents Else Sawicki, Dolores Saracino, and Clarita Garcellano.
